Today opened with David Gudiri from Papua New Guinea Bible Translation Association giving a devotion. “We can only follow and know God’s will if we die to our own desires and decide to put God first.” The rest of the day was given to those present to share about the work of their denomination or mission and their dream for what they want to accomplish in the coming years. Many said they wanted to work in remote areas. Many have their own schools and health care to meet the needs of the people they serve. These schools and health care are primarily in areas where there are no schools or health care. Many are working in literacy. It was also great to hear the uniqueness of each church or mission and realize that each had great things to offer to everyone else.
Tomorrow is the last day and very important. The topics for tomorrow are partnership, building capacity through training, and where do we go from here. Please pray that there is a great desire for unity and partnership and that the first steps are taken to see this happen.
